My observation: In addition to the above, I could tell that ice cream also makes him happy. Helping others or being asked for his help makes him happy. I could also tell that the reward after a challenge makes him shine. This dude was not going to leave that island without a clam and he worked his butt off trying to get one. So proud of him and all he's accomplished!
