Saying goodbye to the Big Island

We had a blast on our last night on the Big Island with Grandma Shary treating us to a night at the Sheraton Keahou. So much fun in the pool and out to dinner with Uncle Allen before our send off to Maui.

We enjoyed our peaceful time at the farm. Such a nice change from the city. The kids were able to explore and be with the land as we shared memories of my dad with them.

We have had to run to a department store to replace my huge suitcase that I've had for over 13 years as it has ripped due to the mass amount of stuff we are buying as we go. I kind of knew this would happen, but the bag we bought to replace it is massive and is  going to be over 50 lbs. when filled, so that's happening. I have to figure out how to pack lighter for future trips.

It has become clear that any plans I may have had on this trip are being trumped by the kids' love of the ocean. All they want to do is go to the beach and stay there. I can't blame them. And my sunburn is finally turning into a tan. (click on one picture to see all)
