Mental note: Kids are ingenious. Remember to ask them how they'd do things more often.

Christian was packing for our trip and he wanted to bring a blanket for the plane. All of the his normal blankets were too big for our backpacks, so he came across his fleece body pillow cover. He begged me to let him bring it and initially I didn't let him. It's a body pillowcase! But after a few minutes of him insisting and a compelling demonstration of how well it could work to keep him warm on the plane, I started to think, why not? It was perfect! I sometimes forget that these kiddos have some great ideas!
